ATLANTA, GA, July 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Renewvia Energy Corporation, in cooperation with Aha Macav Power Services (AMPS), and Clean Energy Capital, announced today the commencement of operations of a 4kw solar test facility located on the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation which spans areas in California, Arizona and Nevada. As an initial step towards the full development, the test facility is collecting valuable production data on the latest thin-film solar modules from Sharp Solar while providing power to the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe through the AMPS electrical grid. When testing is completed, the partnership will create one of the largest solar thin film photovoltaic farms in the United States.

"These new solar modules are particularly well suited to the high temperatures of the Arizona desert. It was a sizzling 115 degrees the day that the system went live on the AMPS grid and we are pleased with the system performance," said Marion Smith, President of Renewvia, who turned the system on at the test site.

Renewvia teamed with AMPS to build the module test facility while in discussions to finalize a joint venture agreement with the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe to develop a 24.4MW solar farm installation at a capital cost of $80 million. "The Fort Mojave Tribe, together with AMPS, has been diligently working to bring solar resource development to the reservation. The completion of this test facility is another important step in the right direction," said Bill Cyr, General Manager of AMPS.
Clean Energy Capital, a national investment banking firm, facilitated the testing arrangements with AMPS. "When completed, this solar generating facility will be a win-win, helping to meet regional demand for clean energy while furthering the Tribe's land management objectives," said David M. Moore, Managing Director of Clean Energy Capital.

Renewvia is currently marketing to various utilities in the southwestern United States. A power purchase agreement is expected to be signed by the first quarter of 2011
