/24-7PressRelease/ - NASHVILLE, TN, May 18, 2007 - "We have always wanted to make sure that when people walked into the hotel, they knew they were in Music City," says John Fleming, General Manager for the Nashville hotel. "But we knew we had to do that with more than just music, so we started doing all kinds of things. Our Do-Not-Disturb signs look like a music note, we have Beethoven's Fifth Symphony decaled across our brass elevators, all kinds of clever little things."
The $8-10 million dollar renovation of this hotel in downtown Nashville also includes new carpet patterned with musical notes and instruments in all the public meeting spaces. In the guest-room bathrooms, the bathtub area features new ledge tiling that resembles a keyboard.
"We're trying to keep the music theme going wherever we can, in big and small ways," Fleming says. "We're not trying to be too in your face, but just have little nuances throughout the hotel."
Still to come is a new concept for the third floor Bridge Lounge & Deli, transforming it into an entertainment restaurant and lounge. The front desk & lobby will also get a complete makeover including the addition of the "Great Room" concept, as well as the Commerce Street Grille, which will have new seating and flooring. A Starbucks is scheduled to open in the hotel in late August of this year as well.
