Tigerlily Foundation's founder, Maimah Karmo received the Woman of the Year award by the Nu Xi Zeta Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority (www.nuxizeta.org). The award was given for outstanding work in the local community and breast cancer advocacy. All proceeds received will go to support women living with breast cancer, providing them with financial support and inspiration.
Last, but not least, Tigerlily Foundation in conjunction with Truly Unique Hair (www.trulyunique-hair.com/) will be launching a line of wigs designed for women undergoing chemotherapy who have lost their hair and women who are trying to re-grow their hair after treatment. The line of wigs will be available in July 2008.
