/24-7PressRelease/ - ROCHESTER, MI, September 14, 2007 — Detroit-based T-shirt designer and small business owner of Detroit Retro Rags and Retro Rags Collection, Erin Norton, got a kick out of seeing a couple of her tees worn by leading actress PJ played by Jordana Spiro ("Must Love Dogs", "JAG") on this week's season finale of the nationally syndicated TBS sitcom "My Boys".

"It was so exciting to see the tees that I've designed actually on a program that fits so well with what my line is all about--it was interesting too that PJ was wearing the tee while discussing great Chicago restaurants and attractions," said Norton. She was wearing the tee that Norton created in commemoration of a now defunct bar called the " Red Wine Room" in Chicago on Roscoe. In another scene, PJ sported another Retro Rags T-shirt, a worn, blue tee called "John's Recovery Room" with the quirky tagline "Hangovers Serviced and Cured Here" which is part of the New York Retro Rags Collection.

Norton's Retro Rags Collection tees feature Detroit, Chicago, New York and LA bars, clubs and hot spots of the past, with unique vintage designs and a quirky story behind the establishments on the hang tag and Norton's website http://www.retroragscollection.com. "I love the idea that my T-shirts can be a conversation piece and commemorate places in history but still look trendy and be incredibly soft," said Norton.

This week also revealed that "My Boys", which wrapped up its second season this week, was picked up for a third season. "I was a fan of the show and thought its premise fit perfectly with my concept for Retro Rags. The thirty something characters on "My Boys" are always hanging at their local pub, Crowley's Tavern in Chicago or sitting around playing Poker together, so I sent some tees to the show and I guess they thought they were a good fit!" Norton said.

Norton's latest adventure has led her to create and market this concept to current local favorite hot spots in Detroit and Chicago. She started Retro Rags as a commemorative line for forgotten bars and clubs of the past and sold to online customers, small boutiques and independent retailers. Next, Norton plans to help Detroit and Chicago community-based businesses further brand themselves by designing a unique T-shirt for their business and market it for them online at http://www.retroragscollection.com--complete with photos and a story about the businesses and local retailers. Businesses will also have the opportunity to purchase the T-shirts wholesale and will receive part of the profits from all shirts sold on http://www.retroragscollection.com. "It's a win-win situation for everyone...my ultimate goal is to elevate the quality of branding for these loved local spots through incredibly soft, well designed, and unique tees that will serve as conversation pieces and walking billboards all around town...and beyond."

Independently owned bars, restaurants and shops in the Chicago and Detroit area interested in finding out about how they can partner with Retro Rags to design a T-shirt for them can call 248- 318-0935 or email sales@retroragscollection.com.
