As part of
Rhodar's drive to continually improve all that they do with respect to their core business of
Asbestos Removal, they have developed an unusual yet very effective way of H&S training - a board game! Typically each year, the training consists of theory and practical tasks, however this year Rhodar have designed a board game to make the training a fun and an effective part of learning. The health and safety requirements of Rhodar's innovative SAFEguard scheme are being reflected in the board game. All participants who play the SAFEguard board game are quizzed about a range of topics which include: Health and Safety Legislation; Risk Management; Health and Hazards on site, SAFEguard and all issues surrounding the practicalities of asbestos removal on site.
The board game has been a huge success during training sessions and has proved both ingenious and very playable; indeed the retrieval rate of key messages has increased from all that have played it. A second version of the game has been developed which is aimed at client staff and analysts, and these versions will support Rhodar in delivering bespoke training to clients to meet their needs.
