Lampa was cited as Outstanding Energy Manager of the year for his continuing initiatives on energy conservation for the hotel. Through his consistent implementation of various energy efficiency programs, Richmonde Hotel was honored with the Outstanding Award by the Technical Evaluation Committee of the DEAEEA for five consecutive years, since 2002. The efforts of Engr. Lampa to promote energy efficiency in the hotel resulted in significant monetary savings for the company, more energy-conscious employees, and most importantly, contributed to the nation's goal of sustainable development.
Because of Engr. Lampa's dedication to the cause of energy efficiency, he was hand-picked by the DOE to attend the Pilot Training Course for ASEAN Energy Managers' Training Curriculum held recently in Bangkok, Thailand. After completing this course, conducted by the European Commission and ASEAN Energy Facility (EAEF) for the establishment of the ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme, and passing the given theoretical and simulation tests, Engr. Lampa became an ASEAN Certified Energy Manager.
