/24-7PressRelease/ - IVINS, UT, July 16, 2008 - During the interview Rick explained why he writes mostly children's picture books. "I have a short attention span," he said. Rick's interview with Grenier was one of the wackiest she's ever done. When talking about what he does in his spare time, Rick had this to say: "Huh? Spare time?"
Rick Walton also teaches writing workshops at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He has seen many of his students become published writers. Besides teaching writing to adults, Rick also does elementary school visits. Grenier was lucky enough to see Rick in action.
"His school visits are very loud," said Grenier. "He spends a lot of time getting the children involved in his different workshops during the visits. Rick teaches how to write riddles, story plotting, and he reads to the younger classes. He really loves getting kids to read and write."
