/24-7PressRelease/ -- Seeing a need for nonprofit leadership to function more efficiently in difficult financial times, Riedel Communications announces it has launched "Nonprofit Conversation" a blog to address nonprofit issues.
"I've had more and more nonprofits approach me with their challenges and ask for advice on how to meet them," says Bunnie Riedel, President of Riedel Communications. "Just as the private sector is facing difficulty in the economic downturn, so too are nonprofits. I wanted to develop a forum where nonprofit executives and board members could exchange ideas and best practices."
Ms. Riedel will host the blog and seek out guest bloggers as well as conduct interviews with nonprofit executives and board members.
"I'm really hoping to have a wide array of voices, from national nonprofit leadership to local nonprofit leadership. Each has a unique voice and a unique way of managing their organizations," says Riedel.
With over twenty years in nonprofit management, Bunnie Riedel brings a catalogue of experience to the conversation. In 1989, she founded a regional nonprofit in Los Angeles to address women's issues. In 1994, she moved to Washington, D.C. to become a national field director for a nonprofit that focused on the First Amendment. In this position she grew the chapters of the organization from three to forty-one in just three years. In 1998, she was tapped to be the Executive Director of the Alliance for Community Media, a national organization representing over 5,000 Public, Educational and Government access television channels. And in 2005, she created Riedel Communications, Inc. Riedel has delivered hundreds of speeches nationally and internationally as well as provided advice to telecommunications regulators at the local, state and federal levels.
Riedel Communications' list of clients includes government and nonprofit agencies as well as a retail business.
