Ring in 2017 at Knife with a Special New Year's Eve Tasting Menu

Start the new year right with a delicious dinner from the popular steakhouse, Knife

CHICAGO, IL, December 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Celebrate the start of 2017 at Knife (4343 N. Lincoln Ave.; 773-799-8283), which invites diners to join them on New Year's Eve for a special tasting menu presented in addition to their regular menu.

Knife Restaurant, which officially opened in October, has quickly gained a following with its contemporary, elevated interpretations of traditional steakhouse fare. The varied menu expands on Cottini's well-honed farm-to-table philosophy, with in-house dry aged beef as its distinctive culinary centerpiece. The tasting menu will consist of three courses priced at $90 per person. Start off with the chef's choice of appetizers. Chef Cottini will be serving Beef Tartare with Bordeglaze, Apple and Smoked Shiitake Mushrooms and Beef Fried Toasts. Another delicious option is a Lobster Thermidor. The third appetizer choice is a rich Celery Root Risotto with Fresh Black Truffles.

Moving into the entree options, guests can choose one of three dishes, the first option being Winter Vegetables, a study of the winter's bounty provided by local farmers. Another choice is the Truffle Crusted, Dry Aged Beef Tenderloin. Last but certainly not least, if fish is your fancy you can order Dover Sole with Porcini Mushroom Mille Feuille.

To close out the night, guests will indulge in the Chocolate Mousse with Bittersweet Chocolate, White Chocolate and Tart Cherries.

Knife recognizes the regular menu is just as delicious as the special tasting menu and so the restaurant will also be offering the full regular menu for guests to order from. Check out Knife's current menu offerings here. There are separate Dinner, Wine and Cocktail menus on the website.

Knife is under the inspired leadership of owners David and Paula Byers and Executive Chef Timothy Cottini (also responsible for Fork, a mainstay farm-to-table gastro pub in Lincoln Square with American eats). Fork was recently named one of the most underrated restaurants in Chicago by Thrillist.com.

Whether you opt for the tasting menu or the regular menu, you will not be disappointed after you satisfy your appetite at Knife this New Year's Eve. Knife wants to make sure that you ring in the new year in style: with great food, wine, friends, lots of laughs and cheer.
