DENVER, CO, November 09, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Robert Benson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
American Business Advisors is a Denver-based business consulting firm that Mr. Benson established in 1984 after obtaining nearly two decades of experience in public accounting. Realizing that his passion was to help companies grow and produce wealth, he built his firm from the ground up by offering strategic guidance for small and mid-sized companies. "What separates American Business Advisors apart from other consulting agencies in the region is that we strive to work with companies who give back or who would like to give back," Mr. Benson says, adding that the social consciousness of his brand has led him to success, as well as growth for his portfolio of clients. An extension of his philanthropic efforts can be seen in The Colorado Christian Business Alliance, a non-profit that Mr. Benson established and has spearheaded over the last five years.
Driven by his passion, faith and business expertise, Mr. Benson's work history is extensive and impressive. He was an owner and managing partner of Benson, Wells & Co. from 1974 to 1984, manager of Miller, McCollom & Co. from 1973 to 1974, partner of Sands Benson & Weinberg from 1970 to 1973, and senior supervisor for Broeker Hendrickson & Co. from 1967 to 1970. In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Benson was the recipient of a Distinguished Alumni Award from Dakota Wesleyan University.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Benson first obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Mathematics from Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota in 1967. With an emphasis on pursuing the financial field, he went on to achieve CPA and CGMA designations, as well as a Certified Management Consultant distinction.
In his community, Mr. Benson is known for much more than just his business. His past civic endeavors include his work as a board of elders member of Cherry Hills Community Church, board member and chair for Denver Youth for Christ, member of the board of directors for COMPA Food Bank, a board member of Love and Logic Institute, and board member for Project CURE, which exists to collect excess medical supplies from hospitals and other facilities to distribute to underserved populations around the world.
Notably, Mr. Benson was involved with an initiative that supplied more than $200 million of medical supplies to developing countries. In particular, the gloves and syringes provided saved countless doctors, nurses and other medical staff from contracting AIDs from patients. Today, Mr. Benson's civic focuses include continuing in his work with The Colorado Christian Business Alliance, as well as the alumni association at his alma mater, Dakota Wesleyan University.
Always eager to take on his next project, Mr. Benson remains at the top of his field through his memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Consultants, and the Colorado Society of CPAs. Looking to the future, he plans to take on new opportunities and continue giving back through the Christian Colorado Business Alliance.
