Currently a senior partner, Mr. Cohen settles cases both in the courtroom and through negotiation or mediation, and has significant experience creating prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

In addition to his career at his law firm, Mr. Cohen was appointed a member of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's Judicial Screening Committee for the First Judicial Department in 2012, and in 2016, he was named chairperson. Further, he frequently serves as a lecturer and speaker on divorce law, and has been an adjunct law professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law since 2003. Other career highlights include authoring the book, "Reconcilable Differences," in 2004, contributing to numerous professional legal journals, and serving as a 1st Lieutenant Judge Advocate for the General U.S. Army Reserve from 1965 to 1967.

Mr. Cohen prepared for his career by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Alfred University in 1959 and an LLB from Fordham University in 1962, where he spent two years as the editor of the Fordham Law Review. He also gained admittance to the New York State Bar, the Second and Fifth Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, Mr. Cohen maintains affiliation with professional organizations, such as the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and New York State Bar Association.

As a testament to his success, Mr. Cohen was honored with inclusion in multiple volumes each of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in the East, and one edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
