Robin Langsdorf Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Photography

    NEW YORK, NY, February 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robin Langsdorf, Owner of Robin B. Langsdorf Photography, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in photography.

A fine art and lifestyle photographer with 15 years of experience, she places an emphasis on photographing children, families and events. She especially enjoys working with families to create an ongoing record of their life journey through the art of visual story telling. "Each time I see a moment in time that can be captured forever, I embrace the innocence, the wisdom and the depth that flourishes in these lives that transform our own," she shares.

Ms. Langsdorf divides her time between New York City and Block Island, R.I., working as a freelance photographer for events, weddings and special occasions. She also specializes in portraits of both children and adults. Ms. Langsdorf utilizes alternative processes such as photographic transfer, cyanotype and encaustic wax to create fine art pieces. In this digital age, she is drawn to some of the older film-based processes that are no longer widely practiced; she is concentrating on carving out a niche in this arena. Her success within the field is supported by her ability to effectively network.

Ms. Langsdorf is currently showing her fine art photography at the Spring Street Gallery on Block Island. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. She is a member of the Professional Photography Association and the National Association of Professional Women. When Ms. Langsdorf is not taking photographs, she volunteers with the Hudson Guild Foundation. She also enjoys travel, cooking, hiking and dance.
