/24-7PressRelease/ -- Rochester, MN companies Rockwood Retaining Walls, Inc. (www.rockwoodwalls.com) and Silver Creek Stoneworks, Inc. (www.silvercreeksw.com) were recently approached about helping out with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" project in Hayward, MN.
"We were very excited when we heard they wanted to use our products on the project," said Jeff Price, President of Silver Creek Stoneworks. "The popularity of Silver Creek has been explosive and we were proud to be able to share our product with this family."
Over 4,000 square feet of Silver Creek's Slate landscape tiles were used for the walkways, three entryways into the home, and the backyard patio. Around 600 square feet of Rockwood's Verano pavers were used for edging around the building and a boarder for the Silver Creek. There was also over 800 square feet of Rockwood's Lakeland block was used to build the fireplace and bar.
"The project was fantastic," said David Spies, Director of Marketing for Rockwood Retaining Walls. "Outdoor living is quickly becoming the standard in home design, and the addition of an outdoor living space creates an environment where you can not only relax, but entertain. It also adds a lot of value to your home."
It took about 40 volunteers around 30 hours to install, and is located on all four sides of the house. "A lot of time and energy went into completing this project on time," said Jeff Price. "We were grateful for all of the help we received. We'd like to give a special thanks to Dolan's Landscape, Sequoia Landscape Company, Plaza Landscaping and Garden Center, Bur Oak Landscapes by Design, Nature's Quest, and Hedberg Landscape Supply for lending a hand, and their expertise, with installing this project."
