/24-7PressRelease/ - JACKSONVILLE, FL, December 08, 2006 - There has been a growing tendency in our society to ignore the plight of the displaced rock. For years, most of our rocks sit out their sedentary lives in seclusion, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life as we know it. Forunatly, there are people who care. The folks at Rockadoption.com are committed (or should be) to finding every homeless rock a new family.

Rocky Rhodes, founder of Rockadoption.com, has introduced an actual adoption process that allows every lonely rock the opportunity to be "placed" with with an adoptive family via the Internet. Rocky states, "Our goal for this project is to simply find every deserving rock a loving, caring, adoptive family to take on the responsibility of being not only a good parent figure, but a friend and mentor."

Applicants are asked to fill out a simple adoption application to make sure they're suitable for new parenthood status. Mr. Rhodes adds, "This process is not for everyone. Rocks can be hard-headed. They're very set in their ways. Please keep in mind that, like people, rocks come in all shapes, sizes and colors. There is no guaranty that your adopted rock will be free of psychological problems. As a matter of fact, there's a good chance he or she will come with some sort of baggage you'll be asked to deal with. Most have had a weight problem they've lived with their entire life! This is not for the faint of heart nor weak of back."

RockAdoption.com encourages newly adoptive families to share their stories with others on their Rock Family Reunion page. Here, you'll see rocks enjoying life with their new loved ones, submitted by actual rock adoption families. "We encourage our new parents to take their rocks with them everywhere. They've sat around most of their lives and enjoy getting out!", Rocky stated.

There are several levels of adoption services available, with fees ranging from $2.00-$17.00
