"Rock 'n Ride" Music Festival Ignites 13th Annual Motorcycle Charity Event for Kids; Concert Tickets on Sale Now
The Imagine Guild Children's Ride is an annual charity event benefiting the Seattle Children's Hospital. This year's event, June 26 - 29, includes a motorcycle ride, classic rock concert and dinner gala. The concert will feature: Kenny Wayne Shepherd and The Marshall Tucker Band, among others.

    /24-7PressRelease/ - Culver City, CA, May 30, 2008 - The Imagine Guild Children's Ride, an annual charity event benefiting Seattle's Children's Hospital, announced the addition of a classic rock concert to Children's Ride 13, one of the largest charity motorcycling events in the Pacific Northwest. The "Rock 'N Ride for Children's Hospital" music festival will be held Sunday, June 29, at the White River Amphitheatre, the Ride's destination. The concert, presented by the John L. Scott Foundation and with additional support from the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, will feature two stages with live performances from Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Starship starring Mickey Thomas, British import Foghat and Seattle's own Spike and the Impalers.

Concert organizers hope to attract more than 10,000 attendees, with the goal of raising $400,000 for Children's Hospital. Due to the generosity of the John L. Scott Foundation and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, 100 percent of all ticket sales will directly benefit the hospital. Ride participants receive one ticket per each paid registration. Tickets for those attending the concert only will go on sale Saturday, May 3, through Ticketmaster at http://www.ticketmaster.com,
(206) 628-0888 or any Ticketmaster retail outlet, and at the White River Amphitheatre box office on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Ride will depart on the morning of June 29 from Qwest Field in Seattle toward White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Wash., escorted by the Washington State Patrol. Approximately 1,000 motorcycles are expected to join the Ride. The live music will begin at noon.

Now in its 13th year, Children's Ride will attract both bikers and non-motorcyclists with myriad activities over four days, June 26-29, throughout the greater Seattle area. Members of the exclusive Children's Ride "Posse," which is limited to 100 bikes, enjoy additional Posse-only benefits, including a private escorted ride to Children's Hospital to visit with patients and a private ride through the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range.

Children's Ride events include:
• June 26: Kick-off party at Destination Harley Davidson, a motorcycle dealership in
Tacoma, Wash. Cost: free

• June 27: Private Posse-only escorted ride to Children's Hospital to visit patients

Dinner gala and auction at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Bellevue, Wash. The gala
will feature one-of-a-kind items on the auction block, including jaw-dropping
custom bikes by celebrity bike builders Brian Klock of Klock Werks and Keith
Wong of Seattle-based Zacky's Custom Rods, as well as works by Discovery Channel's "Biker Build-Off" personality Paul Yaffe and artist Jeff McCann from world-famous Arlen Ness Motorcycles. Cost: $150/person

• June 28: Private Posse-only ride through Cascade Mountain Range, ending at the
Carnation Golf Course for a catered luncheon

• June 29: Children's Ride 13 from Qwest Field to White River Amphitheatre, ending with
the "Rock 'N Ride for Children's" concert featuring Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Starship starring Mickey Thomas, Foghat and Spike and the Impalers. Ride cost: $70-$130/person (three package levels available, includes concert ticket). Concert-only tickets: $9-$100/person

The Children's Ride is one of the biggest fundraisers benefiting uncompensated care at Children's Hospital, enabling the hospital to continue a founding legacy to treat all children in Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho regardless of a family's ability to pay. Since its inception, the Children's Ride and Imagine Guild have raised more than $3 million for the hospital.
