Ronald Egeberg brings to his current leadership role an impressive 40 year track-record of expertly managing, developing and implementing creative business strategies and solutions within the arts, cultural tourism, retail, hospitality, events, government and media sectors. As director of Brentron & Partners, he utilises an entrepreneurial approach grounded in analysis to engage with all stakeholders, and he is recognized as an experienced presenter and public speaker. With strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, Mr. Egeberg has and continues to reach his goals across both private and public sectors which present a range of organisational sizes and styles.

In his earlier years in Melbourne Mr. Egeberg enjoyed a career in radio and television production. In 1982, he was appointed the position of executive assistant to the Managing Director of Associated Broadcasting Services, then the largest media organisation in Regional Australia. Based in Ballarat, Mr. Egeberg was involved in many exciting developments, including the aggregation of regional TV services and live variety award-winning television shows such as 'Thursday Night Live', the music video program 'Off the Record' and 'Kids Only', for which he received the TV Week Logie Award in 1987. In addition, Mr. Egeberg established Porter's Restaurant and Bar in 1991 by effectively converting an old hotel into a stylish venue recognized for quality, value and service. In 1992, Porter's received a Ballarat Chamber of Commerce Business Award and in 1993 it earned a special commendation at the Victorian Tourism Awards. The Australian Hotels Association gave it a special commendation in 1994.

Mr. Egeberg established his cultural consultancy this year following the fulfillment of many roles within city government between 1995 and 2011. His most recent post was with the City of Ballarat, where he left his mark on the arts and cultural scene having successfully managed and developed such Council-owned and -operated facilities as the Art Gallery of Ballarat, Her Majesty's Theatre, the Ballarat Visitor Information Centre and Community Arts. Also among his many accomplishments is the redevelopment of the Begonia Festival, which plays an important part of the social fabric of Ballarat by showcasing and celebrating what the 'garden city' has to offer its residents and visitors. For his work, Mr. Egeberg has been honored with the Victorian Tourism Award and the Goldfields Tourism Award. After a successful 50th Festival, Mr. Egeberg was appointed director of the Eureka Centre, where he played an integral role in planning an $11 million redevelopment of the Centre that is currently underway. Slated to reopen in March 2013, the Centre will be known as the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka.

Mr. Egeberg's educational background includes the completion of the management development program at the University of Adelaide and a certification in business studies, supervision and facilitation. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations in his field, including Arts Managers Australia, International Network for the Arts, Marketing Professionals Worldwide, Media Professionals Worldwide, Travel & Tourism Industry Professionals Worldwide and the Melbourne (Australia) professional network.

Attributing his success to his ability to create, motivate and lead teams to achieve measurable objectives, Mr. Egeberg also prides himself on his 'can do' attitude. The highlight of his career was receiving the National Centenary Medal in 2003 for his contributions to the arts and tourism, and he says, "My aspiration has always been to be a leader who makes a difference within the arts, cultural tourism, events and media or corporate spheres."
