Ronnie S. Pasadilla was instrumental in setting up the microbiology department

GONZALES, TX, November 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ronnie S. Pasadilla, Microbiologist at Gonzales Healthcare Systems, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical technology.

As a microbiologist at Gonzales Healthcare Systems, Mr. Pasadilla is responsible for overseeing the microbiology department, implementing procedures and supervising five employees. An expert in bacteriology, he set up the microbiology department for the hospital from scratch. He also works at St. David's Medical Center. Mr. Pasadilla originally wanted to become a doctor, but found his niche in microbiology. He attributes his success to his hard work and ability to stay up-to-date with changes in his field.

Mr. Pasadilla is currently pursuing a master's degree in microbiology at the University of Santo Tomas, and received his bachelor's degree in medical technology from Far Eastern University in 1995. He became a certified microbiologist through the Philippine Academy of Microbiology, and American College of Microbiology. A member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the American Medical Technologists and the American Society for Microbiology, he hopes to become the head of a larger department.

Mr. Pasadilla is best recognized because of his publications in scientific journals, which contribute significantly to the field of medicine. His publications have been cited authoratively by other scientists in their own publications on related topics. His published peer-reviewed articles are as follows:
• Incidence of Bloodstream Infections in a Specialty Hospital in Kuwait: 8-Year Experience, published in Medical Principles and Practice 2005. 14:417-421.
• Etiology and Antibiotic Susceptibility Patterns of Community-Acquired Urinary Tract Infections in a Kuwait Hospital, published in Medical Principles and Practice 2004. 13:334-339.
• Seroepidemiological and Microbioligical Study of Brucellosis in Kuwait, published in Medical Principles and Practice 2004. 13:215-219.
