/24-7PressRelease/ - Deer Park, TX, July 26, 2008, Rose-Mary Petersen Ashworth, Registered Nurse and Adjunct Professor for San Jacinto College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of medical education.

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Ashworth specializes in oncology nursing and is responsible for planning and monitoring clinical operations. Previously a nurse manager for the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for one year, she considers being responsible for the membership and research nurses within the South West Oncology Group to be her greatest professional accomplishment. She attributes her success to her determination, personal drive and her faith in God and stays current with the trends in her profession by attending conferences and reading industry-related publications. Ms. Ashworth believes that the shortage of nursing positions is the most important issue facing her profession today.

A registered nurse, Ms. Ashworth received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2007. She serves as co-chairwoman of the Houston Chapter Oncology Nursing Society and is affiliated with the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
