"In New York City, we're working to promote a sustainable society while preventing the spread of HIV and improving treatment for those living with it. Through PlaNYC, we've proposed 127 initiatives designed to build a greener, greater City; and by expanding voluntary HIV testing, introducing rapid testing, strengthening HIV education in public schools, and providing free HIV treatment to all who need it, we've significantly reduced new HIV diagnoses and AIDS deaths in our City. But we still need to do much more, which is why we're so grateful to everyone gathered for contributing their time and energy to stop the spread of HIVIAIDS and curb the effects of global warming", said Bloomberg.
