/24-7PressRelease/ - SARASOTA, FL, June 01, 2008 - Roxanne Joffe, President of Sarasota, Fla.-based CAP (formally CAP Creative) Brand Marketing and Public Relations firm, has received the 2008 Frank G. Berlin Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Award. The award, presented by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce (GSCC), is one of eight given annually to Chamber members who meet the strictest criteria and interview processes. Awards are given for Small Business, Young Business, Cultural Organization, Non-Profit Organization, Diversity Visionary, Think Green, Young Professional and Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence.
Joffe, who started her business in her garage in 1998, moved to Sarasota in 2005 and has since won 66 advertising industry awards, including the prestigious TELLY award (for excellence in TV advertising) in 2005 and 2006. She also recently launched CAPtivate, a full scope event planning, production and management company. The CAP office is located at 1900 Main Street in downtown Sarasota.
Joffe is an active participant in the community and sits on several proactive groups including The Sarasota City Alliance, Leadership Sarasota, Downtown Partnership, Five Points Park Neighborhood Association and Sarasota City Parks Foundation. She is National Vice-Chairperson for Casting For Recovery, a non-profit support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer.

About the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Awards
The Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Small Business Awards program was established in 1991 to honor greater Sarasota's small business entrepreneurs. Mr. Berlin, in many ways, symbolized the spirit of the award. He saw the enormous potential of having his own small business in the 1930s and succeeded in a number of business ventures. Mr. Berlin also epitomized the hopes and dreams of contemporary men and women in small business and actively supported and encouraged many of them. He became Chairman of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce in 1946 and was the driving force behind the formation of the Sarasota YMCA. The Chamber is very grateful to Mr. Berlin for lending his name to the awards program.
