With five world stages and an all-Italian final, the 2009 edition of the Royal Silver Golf Trophy takes off with an opening contest on the exclusive turf of Abu Dhabi Golf Club (in the capital of the United Arab Emirates), the second one on the exotic course of the Miami Beach Golf Club (Florida, USA), the third at the refined venue of St Leon-Rot in the region of Baden-Württemberg (Germany), the fourth on the spectacular course of the Kulm Golf Club, St. Moritz (Switzerland), and the fifth and last stage on the enchanting course of the Pevero Golf Club, Costa Smeralda (Italy). The final will also be played on the Pevero Golf Club course, as per the VICEVERSA Challenge together with an INTERNATIONAL Pro-Am formula. The finalists will play off on the regular course of the aforementioned Club, but in reverse: that's to say, they will start near the flag on hole 18 and do the course VICEVERSA, ending up on the first tee with the assistance of a Pro. An unusual contest, even for the most expert, summoning golfers from every part of the globe for the thrill of playing on one of the world's most prestigious courses — in an original way, an almost impossible way: BACKWARDS.
