BARNAUL, RUSSIA, December 06, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- OJSC Russian Agricultural Division started drawing up programme for the next sowing season after making a report on preliminary results of 2009 campaign. The company that achieved significant gains in productivity says it will proceed to enlarging the sown area and accordingly adjust the investment strategy.

"Our growth plans include further accumulation of land plots and yield enhancement", said RAD CEO A. Kalashnikov. "The portfolio of cereals remains basically represented by wheat, rye, buckwheat and sunflower; although in longer perspective we are considering adding new crops to the range, primarily soybeans".

This year, Russian Agricultural Division launched gradual transition to no-till cultivation on a number of plots. In 2009/10 farming season, the company will keep up these efforts, expecting to further cut costs and improve environmental effect through zero tillage. GPS technologies, which proved efficient for overall economic performance, were named among the items that RAD is going to support in the next season.

The company, which is a daughter subsidiary of PAVA, has re-iterated its commitment to developing production chain integrity and accelerate the amount of sustainably farmed produce.
