Ruth Anna Fees Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

An accomplished listee, Ms. Fees celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Ms. Fees is a lifelong educator in the Colorado area, having dedicated many years to Kiowa County students as an English teacher. She is also a well known community leader and an academic star as a member of numerous scholarship societies. Ms. Fees is also a frequent contributor to professional education journals.

Ms. Fees was born in Sidney, Nebraska to Hugh Lawrence and Verla Ellen Fees in 1952. She traveled to the University of North Colorado to earn a bachelor's degree in 1972, and later went on to a master's degree at Colorado College in 1980. After earning a certification to teach in the state of Colorado, she went on as an English teacher to Holyoke Junior High, home of the Holyoke Dragons. After leaving Holyoke, Ms. Fees transitioned into Kiowa County Plainview School in Sheridan Lake.

In her civic duty, Ms. Fees is a member of the Colorado Education Association, an organization providing educational support, governmental relations, legal services, as well as continuing education opportunities for students, teachers, as well as retired teachers. She is also affiliated with the National Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, and UNISERV, the study abroad and university education community. Ms. Fees was recognized for her academic and educational achievements by membership with Phi Lambda Theta, Kappa Delta Pi, and Phi Beta Kappa.

Ms. Fees' poems "24--Teaching and All Alone," "My Life of Uncertainties," "She" and "The Gray Intruder" appeared in the 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981 National Poetry Anthologies, respectively. She was selected for inclusion in four volumes of Who's Who in America from 2007 to 2012, three volumes of Who's Who in American Education from 1992 to 2008, the 2007 volume of Who's Who in the World, and the 2006 to 2007 volume of Who's Who of American Women.
