RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA, September 7, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Ruth Elliott, Founder and Director of EDU Designs, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Ms. Elliott has spent nearly three decades in her field, and she currently shines as the head of a nonprofit charity and producer and distributor of multimedia materials that include educational books and videos. With a well-refined background in art, music, writing and communications, Ms. Elliott is responsible for creating media, presenting art and stories for education, coaching parents, and overseeing the GoMommyGo website. At her current post, Ms. Elliott writes to inspire character development.
Emmy Award-winning Animation Artist Ruth Elliott is a children's book author, filmmaker and illustrator.
She has been dreaming of writing and illustrating stories that inspire others to be better people since the age of 8. Her compassion along with a fertile imagination keeps that dream alive. When her kids were little she illustrated behavior charts for them to help with positive reinforcement. After realizing how well they worked with her own children, she created the site GoMommyGO.com in 2003, to provide her illustrated behavior charts to struggling parents. GoMommyGO is now a Registered Trademark of EDU DESIGNS, the nonprofit organization she founded in 2007. EDU DESIGNS is dedicated to produce and distribute multimedia materials for the education, motivation and character development of children.
Ms. Elliott attributes her success to hard work, an ability to be compassionate with others, strong communication skills, the commitment to being a team player, dependability, and Divine Providence. She became involved in animation because she had long felt that art was something that she had done well, besides working with children; raising her own seven children was the most important thing to her, and by working in animation, she was able to work from home. The highlights of her career have been meeting wonderful people, and knowing that her children love her.
Ms. Elliott has completed coursework in art and music, and she currently remains abreast of trends and developments as a member of the Animation Guild, the International Animated Film Society (ASIFA), Film Independent, and various Hollywood organizations. She is also listed on IMDB. She has been honored by the Prime Time Emmy Awards for her work on The Simpsons, and has received screen credits on television and feature films. In the years to come, Ms. Elliott hopes to continue to be a force for good in the world, to inspire children to do their best, and to coach and mentor others in the areas of character development in children.
