Senior management has decided to focus on gene testing, medical foods, and nutritional ingredients to help reduce excessive cravings involved in the Top 3 Leading Causes of Preventable Death - alcohol and drug abuse, weight problems and smoking. Salugen has patent-protected, clinically proven medical foods and nutritional formulations to reduce stress and cravings, as well as patent-protected gene tests to help identify these persons and customize their treatment.
Over 20% of the world's population has a chemical imbalance which limits their natural ability to feel reward and pleasure due to their genes. These gene variations cause unnatural stress resulting in excess cravings and addictive behaviors. In related matters, the Company also announces that it has terminated its contract with DNA Services of America for the marketing and distribution of GenoTrim and is exploring other distribution partners.
