/24-7PressRelease/ - Greenfield, MA, June 1, 2008, Sandra A. Sayers, Director of Development for Baystate Franklin Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fundraising.

Ms. Sayers brings 18 years of professional experience to Baystate Franklin Medical Center. An expert in the cultivation and stewardship of major gifts, she is in charge of fundraising at the community hospital (BFMC). She recently launched a 6.4-million-dollar capital campaign for renovations to the imaging and emergency departments, and to the inpatient unit. She considers her participation in the latter to be the highlight of her career so far, and finds deep personal fulfillment in working in philanthropy, a creative and diverse field that brings the community together in support of a medical institution that makes significant contributions to society. Ms. Sayers attributes her success to her education, her willingness to learn and the support she received from her peers.

A product of Smith College, Ms. Sayers received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 1988 and worked previously for her alma mater as a major gift officer and associate director of annual giving. She is a member of the New England Association of Healthcare Philanthropy. Her future goals include earning her Master's Degree in Philanthropy and Non-Profit Management from Baypath College in Longmeadow, MA.
