/24-7PressRelease/ - Baton Rouge, LA, June 6, 2008, Sandra Martin, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Scotlandville and a Marriage and Family Therapist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of religious services and counseling.

With five years of experience as in her current position, Rev. Martin's expertise is in pastoral care, family life education and counseling. She participates in a variety of church and community activities, including working with the choir director and choir, recruiting leaders and organizing children's programs and Bible study. As part of its mission, The First Presbyterian Church of Scotlandville is a church that provides religious and spiritual services and support to its member and friends in the form of pastoral visitation in the home or hospital, fellowship gatherings and community outreach programs. Rev. Martin attributes her success initially to her family influences, then to her love of the ministry and professional preparation.

Rev. Martin received her Master of Divinity in The Psychology and Pastoral Care from Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary (Interdenominational Theological Center), Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. She holds a Master of Science in School Psychology from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, South Carolina, with advanced studies in Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Appalachian State University, Boone, North Carolina. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Johnson C. Smith, Charlotte, North Carolina. She is a member of the Presbytery of South Louisiana (PCUSA). She is also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and holds affiliations with the North Carolina and Louisiana Associations for Marriage and Family Therapy.
