First American Trust's Jody Hudson Added to Help Advance Local Alzheimer's Initiatives
IRVINE, CA, July 27, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This week, Alzheimer's Association, Orange County (AAOC) welcomes five-year Alzheimer's advocate Jody Hudson, CTFA to its distinguished board of directors. One of Southern California's premier nonprofit organizations for Alzheimer's research and education, AAOC provides no-cost programs and services for families and caregivers, while raising critical funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease.

Hudson, a Tustin resident, joins the nonprofit's existing team of esteemed individuals in guiding the organization's local resources and initiatives.

"AAOC's board of directors is comprised of individuals who are highly regarded throughout the community," said Jim McAleer, president and CEO of AAOC. "Jody is a perfect example of what our board members exemplify and we're fortunate to have her continued support."

Hudson is vice president and relationship manager at First American Trust in Santa Ana where she is responsible for the administration of trust and investment management accounts for high net worth clients. Hudson has been exposed to the reality of Alzheimer's both personally and professionally. Hudson explained that the disease became apparent when everyday tasks such as driving and cooking became difficult for him.

"Alzheimer's Association has been a resource to my family when we needed it most," said Hudson. "Joining the board of directors gives me an even greater opportunity to give back to an organization that provides families with invaluable programs and services."

In addition to her recent board member induction, Hudson was a recipient of the 2014 Alzheimer's Volunteer Partner of the Year award and is a founding member of AAOC's Visionary Women 1000 group.

According to the Alzheimer's Association, 5.4 million Americans live with Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to triple by 2050.
