Sarah C. Mocke Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Information Technology

Recognized for 24 years of invaluable contributions to the information technology industry, Ms. Mocke is regarded as a leader in her field



    SEATTLE, WA, April 3, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sarah C. Mocke, Director in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer for Microsoft Corporation, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in information technology.

After studying electrical engineering and education at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Ms. Mocke embarked on a career in information technology which has spanned the past 24 years. Her impressive career began at Workgroup Systems where she served as a support engineer. After six years with the company, Ms. Mocke transitioned to a role as systems lead for Workgroup Institute. In 1998, she joined Microsoft Corporation as a senior architect. In July 2011, she was promoted to architect for Microsoft South Africa and director in the office of the CTO. Currently, Ms. Mocke manages 16 communities worldwide and oversees services related to information technology architecture.

With a skill set for people management, sales, and program management, Ms. Mocke provides technical readiness for global architecture staff and defines readiness strategy. Utilizing her skill set for empowering others, Ms. Mocke also handles training, teaching, and serves as a trusted advisor for staff. She is responsible for organizing communities for the chief technology officers and chief architects to collaborate on solutions and infrastructure. Ms. Mocke has been quoted as saying "I'm passionate about connecting, enabling and empowering others. Ms. Mocke was one of the first women in the world to achieve distinctions as a board certified architect professional and Microsoft certified architect. She is currently affiliated with the International Association of Software Architects. In her free time, she enjoys making movies and spending time with her kids.
