Mrs. Miller has six years of professional experience and excels in overseeing legal operations pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry. Her primary responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. She previously worked as a technician and moved to the corporate office where she did marketing work for nursing homes for two years. She also worked for CVS Caremark Corporation for one year. She considers attaining her current position to be the highlight of her career and she attributes her success to her determination. Mrs. Miller wrote an article on procrastination and how it affects a student's grade point average that she presented for the Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA) and was later published in a psychology journal. She stays current with the trends in her profession by attending conferences and by enrolling in continuing education courses.
Mrs. Miller has completed 10 hours in post graduate work toward her MS in Psychology and earned her BA in Psychology from McNeese State University in 2003. She currently resides in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she is alumni member of the Delta Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Fraternity. She is affiliated with the Louisiana and Texas Pharmacy Associations, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, the National Pharmacy Technician Association, and several other state, regional, and national pharmacy organizations. Mrs. Miller feels that increases in drug prices and decreases in reimbursement rates from Medicare and Medicaid are among the most important issues facing her profession today. She recently lobbied in Washington D.C. with the National Community Pharmacists Association regarding Medicare AMP legislation, and other topics important to community pharmacies today.
