DETAILS:
"Scene From Both Sides: The Independent Film Experience" is a two-week program for actors ages 8-18. During the program, students will participate in the production of a short film, and will experience all the stages of filmmaking first-hand, including writing, cinematography, editing, and screening the finished film.
"It is essential for actors working in film to understand what happens on both sides of the camera," says Nikki Young, President of PrimaDonna Productions, who will oversee the program along with Chadd Green, Director of Creative and Technical Services, and Director of Photography A.J. Garces, the team behind the award-winning short films "Dating Danielle" and "Crush". Green adds, "when actors see what goes into making a film, when they know every step of the process and can appreciate the hard work involved, it helps them become more attentive actors, better actors."
In addition to "Scene From Both Sides", PrimaDonna will offer a second program for students who wish to stay all day. This program, running from 1:30 to 5:30 PM, will include commercial acting and improv games for anyone interested in learning more about and developing the craft of acting.
PRICES:
"Scene From Both Sides" costs only $250 per week; the afternoon session costs just an additional $150 per week. Checks, cash, or money orders are accepted. Credit card payments will also be accepted, but only through PayPal.
