First use of this technology goes back to developments undertaken in the fifties, by Mr Martin Schaaf, the founder of the company. At that time, he developed hydraulic Bolt Tensioners to avoid the irregularities when tightening bolt connections at valve heads of piston pumps by hand.
Further developments were brought to market maturity and lead to various patents in the area of axial pre-tensioning. In 1990, Mr Ralf Koellges, his colleague and assistant for many years, took over the company.
Today, a team of highly qualified technicians is continuously broadening the range of the companys' activities by improving existing equipment and turning new developments into innovative products.
