Scio Consulting today announced an expansion of their San Jose, CA-based
Agile software product development company to Canada with the opening of a new sales office in
Montreal.
For the past 7 years, Scio has been providing outsourced software development services to its North American clients leveraging Agile project management and a nearshore delivery center in Mexico. By focusing on what Scio refers to as "

Through its new offices in Montreal Scio will continue providing web application development services in two key areas;
building Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products for software vendors and automating services for customers with custom web applications.
Phil Lafortune joins Scio as Vice President of Business Development responsible for expanding its customer base and building long-term relationships with SMB clients in Canada. Scio CEO, Luis Aburto, said Monday he brought Phil Lafortune on to focus on expanding Scio's customer base in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Phil brings more than 15 years of information technology sales experience and is very familiar with the
benefits of nearshore software development in Mexico. Mr. Lafortune has been working at the new Scio office in Montreal since early January and reports to
Jeremy Beck, VP of Global Business Development.
