MORRISTOWN, NJ, October 27, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/
-- The National Trial Lawyers recently released its list of Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the state of New Jersey. Every year, National Trial Lawyers compiles a list of "premier trial lawyers from across the country who exemplify superior qualifications as civil plaintiff...trial lawyers." The National Trial Lawyers considers both recommendations from other attorneys in the community, as well as third-party research, when making its decision.
Attorneys named to the list of Top 100 Trial Lawyers must exhibit leadership, a strong reputation, influence, public profile, and stature. These qualifications must be objectively measured. Attorneys who make the Top 100 Trial Lawyers list are among the best in the legal community.
Mr. Leonard graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1996 and has become an accomplished trial attorney in his more than two decades of practice.
Mr. Leonard is board certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. Fewer than two percent of all of the attorneys in New Jersey have earned this qualification. To obtain certification, attorneys must be in good standing with the New Jersey Bar, complete a certain number of continuing legal education credits, show substantial involvement in preparation for litigation-related matters, possess a strong reputation in the legal community as evidenced by references from other attorneys and judges, and pass a written exam that covers civil trial matters.
Mr. Leonard is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, which is recognized as one of the most prestigious legal organizations in the country. Those inducted into this organization have been recognized for their dedication to the preservation of an impartial and fair judicial system.
Mr. Leonard served as the President for the New Jersey Association for Justice, which is dedicated to protecting the legal rights of New Jersey citizens and preserving the concept of justice for all.
Mr. Leonard proudly serves his community by regularly conducting speaking engagements, teaching seminars, and participating in pro bono activities. Mr. Leonard represented victims of the September 11 terror attacks as a volunteer attorney with Trial Lawyers Care, serves as a volunteer mediator and is Trustee of the Morris Museum.
In addition to his role as an attorney, Mr. Leonard actively serves as a volunteer EMT.
