Dr. McCargar is one of only 6 dentists in the community working through Scottsdale Healthcare in area hospitals. Accepting this position allows Dr. McCargar to expand his family and cosmetic dental services by admitting patients to either hospital for dental treatments under general anesthesia or IV sedation.
Dr. McCargar explains, "Patients who are afraid of having their dental work done in the typical dental office will now have the option for 'one-stop shopping' by having everything taken care of at once under anesthesia." Dr. McCargar is dedicated to advancing his knowledge of state-of-the-art dentistry through continuing education training, and is pleased to be able to offer expanded services at area hospitals to treat those with additional needs. Dr. McCargar currently treats patients at his private practice, Scottsdale Dental Arts, where he has developed a theory of Comprehensive Dental Care based on building long-term relationships with patients, excellent communication and cutting-edge dental technology.
Dr. McCargar received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. He has received comprehensive training in cosmetic and restorative dental care. In addition to private practice, Dr. McCargar has worked in hospital based dentistry, as well as providing dental care for soldiers. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, and the Central Arizona Dental Society.
