SEATTLE, WA, October 11, 2008
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Eliminate Chaos, an organizing services firm based just outside of Seattle, employs the most CPO's in the world. The industry credential, CPO (Certified Professional Organizer) is a credential that has been bestowed to Christine Radio, Margaret Quinn and Laura Leist.
The Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO) is the certifying body that seeks to inspire organizers to provide superior client services and to continue to develop expertise in the transfer of higher-lever organizing skills.
CPO Certification is a voluntary, industry-led effort that benefits the members of the organizing profession, as well as the public. It recognizes professionals who have met specific minimum standards, and proven through examination and client interaction that they possess the body of knowledge and experience required for certification.
Laura sat for the inaugural exam in 2007 and Christine and Margaret earned their credentials in 2008. Tina Croghan, another employee will be sitting for the exam this November.
The BCPO is affiliated with NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers). Ms. Leist is the president-elect of NAPO and stated "As a leader in the organizing industry, I want to encourage those eligible to sit for the exam, to take the exam, whether they are the business owner providing organizing services or an employee of an organizing firm. As a business owner, I realize that our clients have many choices when putting their trust into hiring a company to work with. I am proud of the commitment our employees have made to this program and that they want to further their education and enhance the skills."
One of the requirements of the certification is that a minimum of 1500 hours of hands-on work be completed before the exam could be taken. "Our employees have far exceeded this minimum requirement," stated Ms. Leist. "Sitting for the exam is not a requirement of working for Eliminate Chaos," said Ms Leist, "but our other employees are now motivated to also receive their credential."
