/24-7PressRelease/ - BOSTON, MA / MALMOE, SWEDEN, July 08, 2006 - In the last couple of months, the Seavus Project Viewer Team has been working very hard to improve the functionality of the product and we are pleased to announce the launch of this NEW version of Seavus Project Viewer 2.6.5.

Our newest version is upgraded with two very useful features -ODBC connectivity and fitting option for adjusting project printouts.

• The ODBC connectivity feature (Open Database Connectivity) allows Seavus Project Viewer users to access data in database management systems (DBMS) using SQL as a standard for accessing the project data.

For example, project managers can publish their project plans in the company's database(s), while Seavus Project Viewer users can access and read the .mpp file and present the data in the same manner as it was created by the project manager.

• The "Fit to" feature allows users to compress the printing of a project plan by selecting the number of pages in which the project plan will be printed.

For example, let's assume a project plan is set to print on four pages, two pages wide by two pages tall. Suppose that the last task of the project is printed on the bottom two pages. If the user selects the Fit to option, this will compress the project onto two pages (two pages wide by one page tall), saving paper and time.
Seavus Project Viewer is standalone desktop application for opening/viewing/printing Microsoft Project files (.mpp). It is a fully functional, robust and high quality Viewer which has been specifically designed and developed with a consistent Microsoft Project look and feel to insure that all Seavus Project Viewer's Users will have a minimal learning curve and an enriched User experience. The software is installed in more than 100 of the Global 1,000 companies and in hundreds of other companies across the world.
