/24-7PressRelease/ -- The countdown is now on for Gibraltar International Boat Show 2010 scheduled for 8 to 11 April at the multi-million pound Ocean Village marina. Now expanding across two locations, Leisure Island and an Exhibition Arena, this Boat Show will be even bigger and better than its predecessor.
John Wood, Boat Show Organiser comments, "We set good foundations last year but 2010 will see the Gibraltar International Boat Show establish itself as the premier event in the Western Mediterranean for marine suppliers and buyers to meet against the imposing historic backdrop of the Rock."
John continues, "Last year saw a wide range of exhibitors from the premium yacht brands through to marine electronics and property developers each benefitting from a cross-section of visitors from the UK, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and, of course, Gibraltar itself. This year, in line with demand, the Show has expanded and will be staged in two locations interconnected by a marina walkway giving the visitors a more comprehensive experience."
Aside from the water- and land-based exhibitors, a main stage will be the setting for interviews, fashion shows and live music whilst the children will be looked after in their own 'zone' with face painting, special events and bouncy castles. Expected to generate plenty of interest is the 'Learn to Zone' which, also water-based, will encourage visitors to try their hand at sailing, diving, windsurfing and jet-skiing.
Meanwhile all of the dining and leisure facilities of 600-berth Ocean Village marina will be throwing their doors open to the attendant public. The marina hosts some of the best bars, restaurants and shops found in Gibraltar alongside the first Gala Coral facility to house a casino, bingo club and sports betting zone under one roof. Ocean Village is within easy walking distance of the border with Spain and boasts over 800 car parking spaces.
