Hewett is one of the foremost professional makeup artists actively working in Hollywood today and has the rare honor of being a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Shelley Smith earned her undergraduate degree from Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Ala. and her M.F.A. in Historic Preservation from SCAD in Savannah, Ga. She is also LEED-certified. While attending SCAD, Shelley missed the boutique style of shops she had grown fond of during her travels abroad. Seeing a much needed niche in Savannah, Shelley developed the concept of See Jane, essentially modeled after the European-style pharmacy and transformed it into reality, bringing hard-to-find indie and cult beauty lines from all over the world to Savannah.
While studying at SCAD, Shelley became increasingly aware of our environment, making her sensitive to what we put in our bodies and also on our bodies. She has researched each and every product she carries, making sure that the ingredients are pure, cruelty-free and environmentally friendly, without sacrificing luxury. She is dedicated to providing natural and organic product lines that are beneficial to her customers' health and their like-minded commitment to the environment.
