Seven Keys to Thinking Like An Entrepreneur: 1. Have a clear picture of your business; when you are an employee, the parameters of your business, your time and your services are clearly defined and priced by your employer. Unless you create a clear picture of your entrepreneurial business in the same way, right at the beginning, you will work too long, take jobs that are below or beyond your scope, and will seriously undercharge for your services. 2. Hire others to help you; you can't work "on" your business if you are only working "in" your business. Unless you have no desire to grow, hire a bookkeeper and/or a personal assistant or virtual assistant to manage your paperwork. Consider this an investment, not an expense. It will be the best investment you ever make in your business. 3. Make sure you have healthy balance in your life; resist the "myth" that an entrepreneur has to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week to make a living. That is completely untrue unless you have failed to follow keys 1-4. Set your priorities and put your activities in the right order.
