/24-7PressRelease/ -- Venice MainStreet, is pleased to present the annual Venice MainStreet Iron Chef competition, featuring local chefs, including Sharky's on the Pier chef Marc Alton, battling in the kitchen for the title of Iron Chef 2009.
The Venice MainStreet Iron Chef competition will take place at the Venice Art Center on September 20, 2009. Chefs from Honoluana Island Grill, Sharky's on the Pier, CafeŽ Venice, the Mission Valley Country Club and the Venice Yacht Club will try to outdo one another in the quest for the title of MainStreet Iron Chef 2009.
Tickets to the event are $25 per person, which includes hors d'oeuvres and one beverage; there will be a cash bar. The cook-off runs from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., with Judi Gallagher acting as master of ceremonies and a special appearance by 2008's Iron Chef Winner. Entertainment will be provided by James Gilmour. Tickets can be purchased at CafeŽ Venice, Bella Luna Cafe, Uptown Girls, Nifty Nic Nacs, Gulf Coast Gift Baskets, and Paper Pad.
