She also acts as a liaison between coders, nursing unit team members, the care management team and physicians. Ms. Coffman became involved in her profession because of her experience in reviewing cases and nursing.

A certified registered nurse, Ms. Coffman is a member of the American Institute of Outcomes Care Management and volunteers for Ending Violence Effectively.
