/24-7PressRelease/ - CHICAGO, IL, September 07, 2008 - Sheldon Good & Company Auctions LLC will offer at auction 15 newly completed, luxury condominiums in Elgin at Fountain Square along the Fox River.
The condominiums will be offered in an open outcry auction on Oct. 2, 2008 at the Wyndham O¡¯Hare, located at 6810 N. Mannheim Road, in Rosemont. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. and the auction commences at 7 p.m. The units were previously priced from $162,000 to $386,900. Four of the 15 condos are offered subject to the Minimum bids which range from $90,000 to $197,500.
¡°This is a terrific opportunity to purchase one or more of these beautiful homes either as a residence or investment property. The Elgin area continues to grow in popularity and its revitalized downtown offers great shopping, dining and year-round events, including an on-going farmers market, and arts and heritage events at Festival Park,¡± said Steven L. Good, president and CEO of Sheldon Good & Company. ¡°Bordered by the Fox River, downtown Elgin is a picturesque suburban town center and these upscale, move-in ready condos are in the heart of it.¡±
He added that Elgin¡¯s planned Riverwalk will make the area even more of a destination for people in the western suburbs and an asset for Fountain Square.
According to Good, the developer of Fountain Square opted to offer the condos at auction to avoid the expense and potentially lengthy market time of a conventional marketing program.
The residences, located at 51 S. Grove Ave., have one to three bedrooms plus a den per plan. Units include granite kitchen countertops, hardwood flooring, 9-foot ceilings, washer and dryer hook-ups and 6-foot soaking tubs and separate showers in the master bath.
Other notable features include private terraces or balconies with views of the river and downtown Elgin, an intercom security system and enclosed deeded parking.
