Sherry Philips Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Outstanding Contributions to Education

Ms. Philips has been teaching numerous subjects for all age groups and educational levels for decades.



    /24-7PressRelease/ - Allen, Texas, March 8, 2008, Sherry Philips, Director and Owner of Miss Sherry's Studies and Enrichment Program, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of private instruction and enrichment.

Ms. Philips has an impressive background in educational instruction. She teaches numerous subjects for all age groups and educational levels, including special needs students, from pre-school through college graduate level. Her areas of expertise include all areas of reading, language arts, mathematics, Algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, English, multi-types of literature, various sciences and histories, and creative writing, arts and crafts, drawing, painting, and watercolor. Her program offers test preparation services for an extensive range of standardized tests, including the ACT, SAT, THEA, GRE, GED, ASVAB, and TAKS. Additionally, Ms. Philips offers home schooling and distance learning services.

Prior to establishing her business, Ms. Philips taught in the Wylie ISD where she served as department head in English. She also created and headed the first Art Department for the school district. In her home community, Ms. Philips developed an arts and crafts class for the residents of a local nursing home, taught evening adult education classes, and created the curriculum and interior design for a local child center.

Ms. Philips received a double-major degree in English and art, graduating summa cum laude from East Texas A&M University, and was granted an all-level teaching certification. She is a Birmingham scholar and past member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Fraternity. Presently she has membership in NAFE (National Association of Female Executives) and AAUW (American Association of University Women). Ms. Philips has been honored with the distinction of Outstanding Secondary Educator of America and various other awards.
