/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Wellness Team at ShindigZ party supplies has been active. Last week, a new, on-site Employee Fitness Center was opened for free-of-charge use by ShindigZ Party Hosts. A grand Olympic Opening ceremony is planned for this Friday, February 12th at 8 a.m. to add to the spirit of encouraging daily exercise.
So far, 60 full-time ShindigZ employees have gone through equipment training that gives them access to treadmill, bicycle and elliptical machines. There's a complete weight bench machine available as well for leg presses, pull-downs, arm curls and more. Jump ropes, exercise balls, and stretching videos are available as well.
The Fitness Center even has a Wii game set up for light exercise and competition that includes bowling, doubles tennis, ping pong and baseball.
Plans are to add Zumba, yoga and Pilates classes in the coming weeks. ShindigZ employees using the new Fitness Center will be encouraged to join a company effort to participate in Fort 4 Fitness activities again later this year on September 25th. Seventeen employees participated in 2009.
The addition of the Fitness Center is just the latest in a recent series of activities the Wellness Team at ShindigZ has offered employees. Other events have included Monthly Wellness Week Activities, Fresh Fruit Fridays, Watch Your Weight Holiday Challenges and an Employee Health Fair.
