TORONTO, CANADA, July 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, the most prestigious screenwriting competition in Canada, recently introduced an eCommerce shop on their popular official competition site and blog.

The new store officially launches July 19, 2010 and is currently in beta-testing. The modest offering consists of three items for the time being: the top 3 winning short film screenplays from the 2009/10 edition of short film script contest announced earlier this year at the Yorkton Film Festival's Golden Sheaf Awards Gala.

Competition Founder, David Cormican, says of the new venture, "I was looking for a way to combine the demand from CSSC fans to read the work of the winners and finalists and provide a means of revenue for the competition winners. This seems to be the best answer to achieving both ends in one fell swoop."

The first three products available on the eShelves of the CSSC Shop are respectively 'Something Pointless' by Neil Graham, 2nd place 'Minus Lara' by Surita Parmar and 3rd place Jag Dhadli's 'The Kicker'.

The award winning screenplays are available for the same purchase price as a song on iTunes. 99 cents will garner CSSC fans and competition hopefuls a glimpse into what it takes to make a script rise to the top of short film script competition piles.

The CSSC looks to launch more scripts in the coming weeks and also hinted a expanding the inventory to beyond screenplays in the months to follow.
