REGINA, SK, CANADA, August 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Canadian Short Screenplay Competition founder, David Cormican, and his team is committed to raising $3,000.00 in 2010 for Easter Seal, a charity committed to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through Camp Easter Seal, a fully accessible camps, where kids and youth learn about themselves and the potential of their abilities. The facilities are designed to ensure that everyone, no matter their disability, has the support they need to have the time of their lives, gain confidence and a sense of independence, challenge themselves and cultivate meaningful friendships.

When asked about the drop zone jump, Cormican shares, "Last year was my first time jumping and I can honestly say the first step was the hardest part in getting over the ledge and trusting in the rope. After that, it was all about enjoying the moment while knowing through the generous donations raised that week there will be a lot of kids enjoying the (Easter Seal) camp experience".

"Raising the funds was the easy part. When people hear the cause, I hit my fundraising goal in no time". In 2009, Cormican raised over $1,600.00 towards Easter Seal in just under six days, with donations coming in from every corner across the country.

Cormican, also a board member for the Regina Downtown BID, will be rappelling down the side of the Hill Centre Tower II in downtown Regina, SK as part of the 2010 Easter Seal Drop Zone Challenge along with his fellow team mate, fundraiser and mother, Gloria Cormican on August 31, 2010.
