/24-7PressRelease/ -- On October 6, 2009, SIGVARIS & Halpern Pharmacy will host a compression therapy health fair at the Halpern Pharmacy location on 333 E 23RD Street in New York City beginning at 11 a.m. The Healthy Leg Day is being held to help men and women prevent or treat leg health issues such as swelling, varicose veins, lymphedema, DVTs or other venous disease symptoms that may appear during cancer treatment, pregnancy or other medical conditions.
This Healthy Leg Day is designed to:
• Raise awareness of the causes of leg health issues such as swelling, varicose veins, lymphedema, or DVT [deep vein thrombosis],
• Prevent or treat leg health issues with compression therapy stockings [also known as support hose] or socks, and
• Educate the consumer on the proper fit and care of graduated compression socks and stockings.
Halpern Pharmacy is offering a 10% discount on SIGVARIS Support Therapy pantyhose or socks during the one-day educational event, and SIGVARIS certified fitters will present a full line of men's and women's fashion options in compression therapy.
