    COVENTRY, ENGLAND, October 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Silverdell UK Limited win Trade Contractor Safety and Environmental award for the 2nd quarter in 2009 for safety best practice on the Aspire Defence contract - Warminster.

The Aspire Defence contract is a key Regional Prime Contract providing general maintenance and refurbishment solutions to the Defence sectors; delivering better value for money through collaborative working.

Silverdell UK Limited is the appointed supply chain partner for Aspire to meet their service delivery specification: efficiency, economical, innovative and always on time. In recognition of the military and other needs of the MOD, safety remains a key area in promoting best practice, reducing defects and improving performance.

The Trade Contractor Award was presented to Paul John, Senior Supervisor Cardiff Office, Silverdell UK by Michael Ward of Aspire Defence at a ceremony in August in Tidworth.
