BOSTON, MA, July 23, 2011
/24-7PressRelease/ -- SIMUL8 Corporation further cemented its reputation in the Aviation industry with the launch of a major simulation project at Gatwick Airport, the UK's second largest airport and the busiest single-runway airport in the world.
Gatwick is investing GBP1 million per day to modernize the airport and create a better passenger experience and as part of this is improving its check-in areas to deliver benefits for its airlines and for the 32 million passengers that journey through Gatwick each year with a better and speedier check-in experience.
"The check-in area of any airport is often the most memorable point of the passenger journey, and often the most challenging," said Neil Hutcheon, SIMUL8 Consultant. "This project will give the team at Gatwick the ability to experiment with different check-in scenarios to find the most efficient and ensure the best possible experience for every passenger."
SIMUL8 simulation software will be used to create a simulation of the check-in process that will include real flight schedules and airline information. The simulation will allow the team at Gatwick to visualize the impact of any changes they make to the process and provides valuable insight so that any changes are right first time.
